IPod
A Practice in Reverse Engineering
As part of a study in reverse engineering existing projects, I was required to recreate the iconic design of the original IPod from Apple to it’s exact dimensions and materials.
Assembly drawings give engineers and technicians building the drone a quick way of reviewing measurements to ensure it is built to original specifications.
Created using the 3D modeling program SolidWorks; The final outcome required designing 36 unique pieces, with over 100 pieces total to piece together and build. A Bill of Materials provides an overview of all included parts and their orientation in the craft.

The final materials for used for the drone included a majority of plastic and polycarbonate to keep the weight of the craft lighter and more maneuverable, with a black underside with mirrors the aesthetic of current spacecraft created by NASA.
