Tasty Tales

Where Stories are Shared & Connections are Created

Navigating new connections in the modern world can be difficult. Tasty Tales provides an opportunity for seniors experiencing loneliness and young adults looking to build life skills to connect through recipe sharing and intergenerational knowledge transfer

Statistics show a growing segment of seniors are experiencing loneliness, and with the older population growing each year this will become a an issue to tackle. Likewise, an increasing amount of young adults lack basic cooking skills and rely more on services like food delivery for their meals.

Through the Tasty Tales app, young adults find seniors they can connect with through shared interests and the senior’s favorite recipes that they wish to learn. Each meal will have a recipe listed on the app by the senior with steps on how to make it after completing the meal for young adults to review.

Along with revenue from shared meals, ongoing orders for ingredients at a later date can be facilitated through the app and clips of seniors cooking can be used for marketing and potential revenue generation for the seniors.

Seniors list their favorite meal on the app, along with personal interests to connect over with young adults. They then have an opportunity to guide young adults through the steps of making the meal while getting to know each other. A step-by-step process makes creating and joining meals simple for both parties.

Grocery delivery services bring all the necessary ingredients to where the senior is located. These services can be used to order the necessary ingredients for young adults to make again. A facilitator can also capture the event and create content for young adults to review recipes in case they need further guidance at a later date.
